TCF WORLDWIDE CANDLE LIGHTING EVENT

Each year, on the second Sunday of December, TCF chapters throughout our country hold a very special candle lighting event to honor those children, siblings and grandchildren who have been lost to us.  The TCF Worldwide Candle Lighting event brings comfort and warmth to so many in a season that can be very challenging in the face of our losses.

This year's TCF White Plains Chapter  Candle Lighting will take place on Sunday, December 14th over at Larchmont Avenue Church located at 60 Forest Park Ave.,  Larchmont, NY.  We will meet in the church's Russell Hall  (entrance through double doors on Forest Park Ave.) room no later than 6:20 pm. We'll begin at about 6:45 and by 7:00pm, candles will be carefully lit, one by one, in loving memory of the children, siblings & grandchildren we have lost.

Special care must be taken in the lighting & holding of your lit candle. When the last candle is blown out, we'll partake of  potluck dishes, savory and sweet, that we've all brought to share. (Many friends like to bring a dish that was a favorite of the loved one they lost; an idea to keep in mind.)  Beverages (nonalcoholic) are also welcome, with appreciation. Cups will be provided, as will eating utensils & napkins.

Please email Annie Borofsky (Josh's Mom) at aynyasmin@gmail.com to confirm that you'll be attending and to inform her about the dish you'd like to bring, whether it's savory or a sweet dish, so that she can keep track of what potluck selections are coming together. We do this so that we have a fairly balanced representation of dishes to enjoy.
